Der Pharmamarkt-Umsatz weist in der aktuellen Kalenderwoche eine Veränderung von + 11 % zum Vorjahr auf. Die Umsätze bleiben im Vergleich zur Vorwoche (KW 46) unverändert.
Der Absatz des Retail Bereiches wächst im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um + 5 %. Zur Vorwoche wurde ein Anstieg von + 1 % gemessen.
Die Segmente patentgeschützter Rx Produkte entwickeln sich mit + 23 % zum Vorjahr, wobei die ungeschützten Rx Produkte im Vergleich zum letzten Jahr um + 1 % steigen.
Gegenüber der Vorwoche (KW 46) verändert sich der Umsatz der patentgeschützten Rx Präparate und der ungeschützten Rx Produkte um + 1 % und – 2 %.
Die folgende Grafik zeigt die Entwicklung des OTC & HOM Marktes. Dieser weist gegenüber dem Vorjahr ein Wachstum um + 8 % auf. Der Health & Beauty Bereich sinkt in der Vorjahresbetrachtung dabei um – 3 %. Der wöchentliche Vergleich des OTC & HOM Marktes zeigt jedoch ein Wachstum von + 6 %, wobei der Health & Beauty Bereich stagniert.
Das Volumen des Husten- und Erkältungsmarktes liegt weit über dem Vorjahresniveau mit + 30 %. Der Vergleich mit der Vorwoche zeigt einen Anstieg von + 16 % in der Anzahl der verkauften Packungen.

The retail market shows a growth of + 11 % compared to the previous year. The current sales remain unchanged compared to the previous week.
The volume of the retail market rises with + 5 % compared to last year 2021. Compared to calendar week 46 it is changing by only + 1 %.
The following chart shows the development of patent-protected and unprotected Rx products.
The market of patent-protected Rx products shows a growth in sales of + 23 % in comparison to the year 2021 and also an increase of + 1 % when looking at the market of unprotected Rx products.
By looking at the previous week we can also see a positive development for patent-protected Rxproducts with + 1 %, but for their unprotected counterparts a reduction of – 2 %.
The chart below shows the segments Over the Counter (OTC) & Homeopathy (HOM) and Health & Beauty.
The OTC & HOM market shows a growth of + 8 % compared to the previous year and a rise of + 6 % compared to last week.
The Health & Beauty area decreases by – 3 % compared to the previous year and stagnates in comparison to last week’s development.
At + 30 %, the volume of the Cough & Cold market is above the level of the previous year. The comparison with the previous week shows a development of + 16 % in the number of packs sold.
